Music Alert! The Year of Discipline

Hey guys, I haven't blogged in months, I'm the worst! I don't have much time, I'm scurrying off to the studio to work my fingers to the bone but I thought I'd leave you with a little music.

This is a song called "When We Say", originally by AJ Rafael, covered by my best friend, Colin Miner :) He's working on a year-long music project/challenge that he's calling "The Year of Discipline", in which, he does either a video of a cover song, or original song, every single week. 52 weeks, 52 songs. We're on week two here, and I'm having a lot of fun shooting with my Canon 5D Mark II and editing the videos :)

Muse vs. Jes Hudak : "Time Is Running Out", MUST WATCH

So, I hope your not sick of me posting about music because it's pretty much the biggest thing in my life besides my business...

Anyway, just a quick post to show off my friend Jes Hudak's disgusting talent once again. Here's her cover of "Time Is Running Out" by Muse. Love her take on it! And holy wow, can she sing the sh*t outta that song or what!!??

Come to Mama...

I've been hemming and hawing over buying myself a spiffy new lens to use on my photo journey. If I'm gonna get serious about photography (or at least have it be a serious hobby) I need the equipment that will help me grow. After a TON of research, countless hours reading reviews and all that fun stuff I decided on this lens...

The Canon Telephoto EF 135mm f/2.0L USM , very spiffy indeed! I can only hope that it helps me and photography grow as much as it's made my bank account shrink :)

As I type this I am patiently or not so patiently awaiting the delivery of that pretty little lens. Waiting for that magical moment when UPS pulls into my drive way, walks up to my door and asks me to sign for my package. I will never again be so happy to awkwardly sign that weird electronic tablet. As soon as I get it in my hands I am going to play around with my new investment until there's no light left in the sky. Or at least until I fill my data card :)

Come on UPS, get here already!!! Your killin' me , Smalls!

Jes Hudak Covers "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child

Last month, I introduced you guys to singer/songwriter, Jes Hudak. Jes is a fellow Saratoga Springs native, now based in Los Angeles, CA, with some serious pipes and heaps of personality. So I figured, I just have to show her off once more :)

Since today is a day much like yesterday, I will be slaving away in my studio, which unfortunately doesn't generally make for an all that fun blog installment. Thankfully, Jes is here to liven things up, and distract you whilst I try to be efficient in my workshop on this cold and decidedly dreary October day in Upstate, NY.
